I recall Khal saying that he didn't want an app because that introduces centralization to the environment. This is a principle which I truly understand... but could there be a way to develop a decentralized version of such an app?
yeah it's just how the majority of people use things on their phones though. i get it, and understand why there is no app....but for everyday people, ease of use is what matters.
the answer for no app is because apps are censored by the companies that run the app stores.

Actually, they do not need the keys, that is the point of lite account, they can just sign in with the gmail and they will not need keys unless you are trying to onboard them to other Hive dapps, which you are not, you are bringing them only to Inleo.
They don't even need the keys to do any exchange because all you do is send the Hive with a memo to the exchange account.
And for the app part, they can have de version of the site that gets saved as an icon on the phone, but I do thing having an app for the normies would be helpful
well for whatever reason, didn't work for me. they used my referral code and everything. gotta remember the people i'm talking to right now...
crypto noob. normie. doesnt know what keystore is, whatnot. they have tiktok and instagram.
they just tried to sign up, and they got their account keys and now they cant log in. I'm sure it's user error, but what i'm saying is that it didnt work as smooth as i had hoped for.
Yeah, the sign up needs more specific messages so everyone goes to the one that is actually best for them

Keystore: crypto savvy (remind them to save the seed and the keys)
Gmail or X: Normie (don´t even talk about the keys)
Create a Hive account: the occasional user that gets attracted to the concept of Hive and will be using other Hive dapps right away

Hahahah yes, Hive account is the worse, because then you actually have no manage each key. You have to use Hivesigner or keychain, or be constantly copy pasting...
A not very known fact: you can use the keystore seed phrase to import your account into keychain
