HANSUM Airdrop.
There is a new Meme coin coming to the Cosmos eco-system - HANSUM. HANSUM will be another airdrop to a range of Cosmos participants, ATOM stakers, JUNO stakers and people with LP's on Osmosis and Junoswap.
With a seemingly endless supply of airdrops coming to Cosmos communities, HANSUM joins a crowded marketplace. What will set it apart?
Hansum is a playful Cosmos community-led effort to bring you the Most Hansum Token You Will Ever Hodl. Hansum will run as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and token holders — their ideas and proposals — are what will make Hansum successful.

So obviously, this is a project not to be taken too seriously. Lighthearted and Meme oriented, I wouldn't be pouring my life savings into it, personally. But, as the $HUAHUA drop has demonstrated, there is money to be made in Meme tokens. If $HANSUM holds some kind of value, it will have a solid sized fund that community governance, through the DAO, will be able to allocate. So while it is a fun, casual meme coin, it could still become something more in time.
The airdrop itself will be to a few communities. 25% of initial supply will be airdropped, with the following split:
- 10% to ATOM stakers (with a 5 ATOM minimum).
- 10% shared between JUNO stakers(again 5 JUNO minimum) and Junoswap LP's ($150 minimum pooled).
- 5% to Osmosis LP's (same $150 minimum).
The only exclusions, aside from the minimum quantities will be delegators to Binance, Coinbase and Kraken exchange validators. It is unclear from the token distribution post (linked above) whether the allocations will be a fixed amount per wallet, or depend on how much of each category you have.
The Snapshot for this very $HANSUM airdrop will occur on March 1, and the drop will occur shortly after.
Likely not a ground shaking airdrop in the grand scheme of things, but the Cosmos community is very Hansum, and this token will be one that could be a lot of fun. Owning it will definitely make you more HANSUM. If you have met the qualifications, congrats, if not there is a week till snapshot. I wouldn't invest in these options just for this specific airdrop, but its a nice little added bonus for the community.
Stay Hansum,
JK.

Nice information right there, glad it’s not still late
There is time to get organized, if you wish. Will be a fun project to follow I think.

Well, this gives me a week to read through some of your past posts and finally figure out how to get the ATOM I have sitting in my account to actually do something for me. I'm getting a small staking reward but I have a feeling I should be allocating it somewhere else to be making more.
Any advice on where I should go first? I won't hold you to anything. Just looking for some insight from someone familiar with the protocol.

So long as your atom isn't in an exchange, or delegated to an exchange node like Binance or Coinbase, then you should be good.
For now, ATOM staking rewards are lower than most other Cosmos coins. But most airdrops go to ATOM holders.
For higher returns, you could unstake (which takes 21 days) and add to a pool on Osmosis or Junoswap. But in your position, I'd probably leave the ATOM's staked, and work with any airdrops that come along or any extra funds you can put in to some higher yield plays.
High staking yield options could be HUAHUA (a meme coin, but holding value with a 300% APR yield, or JUNO (over 100% yield, plus airdrops also).
Hope I'm not confusing you more.

Yeah, I've got it on an exchange right now. Is there a wallet you recommend? I'm assuming Cosmos has their own...?
Like I said (maybe somewhere else), I've always liked ATOM so I've got small autobuys going, but I've never really looked into its utility or what to do with it. I feel like I'm probably missing out on some of the biggest reasons to actually own it. As it is, I've just thought the price should appreciate substantially at some point and I get like 5% staking rewards so...it's just been sitting. I have enough now where I should probably try to take advantage of the platform as a whole; not just own the token.

Meme coins can often be fun and little else besides, but I think the difference with Chihuahua and some other meme projects is they look to actually deliver something useful. For example, Chihuahua is targeting crypto education activities. This in itself won't make anyone any money but then sometimes that's not what it's about and, instead, there is benefit in these other things they do, which means we can have some fun and support something with a good purpose. It's win win!
Chihuahua is awesome, I'm just annoyed at myself for missing the big 1 million airdrop for staking JUNO to their validator. That, with compounding, would have been very nice.
This one will be fun, and could become something more - it will have a big DAO community fund to play with if it holds some reasonable value, could turn in to something nice. Or just some fun and education as you say.

I might sit this one out because I never got involved in Cosmos. I have plans to do so, but maybe not in time for the airdrop.
Good to know that the eco-system is very active though

Heaps of airdrops for ATOM, Osmosis, JUNO communities. Also, EVMOS is coming soon which will be a big deal. If you have played much on Ethereum, you may qualify for EVMOS.

I just jumped into cosmos this week thanks to your posts.
I started with 400 spread across 4 pools on osmosis. Will that count towards the minimum or would it need to be 150 in a single pool to count?

From my understanding, you should be good. I think all osmosis liquidity will count. Not 100% sure, but I think.
On a side note, I hope some of your funds are in the ATOM/OSMO pool, and bonded in the 14 day option. Will be an interesting boost coming soon, eventually rolling out to all pools, but starting there. Superfluid staking is launching very soon, starting with that pool. Means you get the farming rewards, and also staking rewards on the OSMO as well. Magical stuff.

I didn't actually put anything into atom/osmo as my four pools had them in 2+2.
So idint see the point in pooling more of them again but I've changed that now and added a bit to the pool. Thanks for the help. 👍
I've staked everything at 14 days unbonding and won't be in a rush to take anything out. All warnings will be going straight back into the pools for a couple of years.
As I keep adding to my farm on COSMOS, it is only a matter of time before I get on of these airdrops!
