I'm going with the Texas Rangers-- they've been waiting decades for their first World Series. It would be great to see Nolan Ryan make an appearance, too.
On paper the Rangers should be able to pummel the D'Backs but then look what they did to the Brewers, Dodgers and Phillies, so I guess we can't assume that now @magnatcarta
On paper the NY Yankees were supposed to sweep the Diamondbacks in 2001. D'Backs won in 7 games; that was by accident with that broken bat bloop seeing eye single against Mariano Rivera. It's 2023, but let's not underestimate either team.
