On the morning of April 21, ** 2016**, Prince, the virtuosic musician who created more than 30 albums and won seven Grammy Awards over a 40-year career, is found dead in Paisley Park, his Minnesota home and recording studio. The cause of death was an accidental overdose of the opioid fentanyl. He was 57 years old.
I remember this day but for a funny reason: I was in the ED for gastroenteritis, the first and only time I ever had it in my life! I went home, and the next morning his death was announced. I spent the day recovering and watching his movies and music on TV. That's my story lol!
Given how young he looked, I expected him to live a long time... but, frequently, what we see on the outside does not always reflect what's going on inside.
That definitely sounds memorable and I can see why you would have binged on his movies and music during your recovery.
May his soul rest peacefully 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.
Prince was just as much a dancer as he was a singer and musician. He had moves which were unbelievable, especially when he dropped to his knees to bounce back up. Those jaw-dropping moves cost him dearly later. May he R. I. P., indeed.
Gone way too soon for sure. 🙏🏼
