For many years the Mets have signed what could have been for the most part either a washed up player or very low impact addition. The Mets General Manager made a sparkling decision signing this guy. Yes, it may have been a lucky choice but I'm still giving David Stearns a ton of credit. Huge hit for the Mets to win last night's game against the D'Backs.

Jose Iglesias has been the Mets biggest surprise of 2024. Hands down.
