The current market indicators show that its possible but I think it won't be able to unless the NASDAQ gets better. This means they need AAPL and TSLA needs to start looking more bullish. Otherwise I can only see it being dragged down and even if it does go up, I see a good pull back.

I am not sure the DOW needs the NASDAQ.
The DOW tends to be international money and there is a lot right now flowing in from Europe. The worse things get over there, the better the chance of even more money piling in.
If money flows out of US bonds, that will also make things interesting. I am not sure the bondholders are real comfortable right now.

I think DOW is probably the least affected by NASDAQ but it still affects it. I think APPL can definitely impact the DOW because when the QQQ tanks, APPL will follow. It will probably be a limited downside though.
