I went from brave -> splinterlands -> hive so I kind of agree with you there. Just spreading out the news to other people might get them interested in joining.

Yeah, as long as they find it somehow somewhere they can become interested. For me brave was actually through splinterlands after playing in their tournament :-)
The important think is that you got here and are getting active.
That is what we need.
