It definitely did make things smaller but I still think people are trapped in the current financial systems. So it might take more time before it becomes mainstream.

That is a very good point. Many people and businesses are carrying heavy debt paying a premium for the currency that they spend. My Brother has no interest in crypto and holds no assets. I would have to convert my crypto to fiat to give him any money and he will pay a premium especially if he banks it.
With a Hive account, I could send him Hive in any amount for free as often as I like. If he decides to power it up his Hive will earn more Hive. The banking system is so broken but a person has to be able to step outside of the system to see.
