RE: Leo Talk 3/13/2021 -Come Join Our Chat

That's the major problem. They haven't given us a clue on why the system is not ready to be released. If they did, nobody would be complaining. If we know the issue, we can roughly learn how long it will take to fix it as well. This way we can hype it up on other networks and get people in on Day 1.

I guess we can see the same trend as CUB with Projectblank , once it released all the comments and posts will be just related to that and nothing else at all . The 1st week will onboard many new users onto Hive is my guess. But whatever it is , I can't wait anymore though .

Yea it will onboard many users but I wonder how many will filter their way into the HIVE ecosystem. Also since most of them are geared towards short-form content, I think we are going to need to be on the watch out to give advice.

True , I wish there was a bot which when called would tell basic stuff .

Like example : call !RC - it will tell about RC .

call !voting help - It will tell how the voting works etc etc.

I think that would be a nice addition. In addition, I think a command of !RC username should let the user know how many votes and comments they can do with their remaining RC. It might also be nice to add in how many comments/votes they can naturally do per day too.

Yesterday I was looking into it but it was way too complicated .

I came to know yesterday that it depends on the bytes and that different comment can take different amount of RC . There are functions provided by API but the math just didn't add up to me yesterday so I had to give it up for now .

Will pick it up again when I have time ( most probably once projectblank is released)

Yea it seems complicated if that is the case. I guess you can maybe guess the average comment length to base an assumption for people. It might not be fully accurate but I think its good as an estimate.

Yeah I can do that .

But if it takes a lot of time and if you need to guide new users - you can use hiveblocks.com reference as it shows how many comments/votes/transfers that particular account can make based on the RC available.
