RE: Kicking LeoGlossary Into High Gear

in LeoFinance2 years ago

We need that suggestion feature that Khal was mentioning a few months back. Linking long articles manually is a lot of work for most people. Took me 15 mins for 1k words yesterday and I didn't even have that many things to link.

I may be doing it all wrong though...

Automatic link suggestions as you type, right? That will make this so much easier for people to adopt this..

As long as we need to do the linking manually, I find it quicker to finish the article first and then do the linking. For my window setup, I usually have a markdown editor window open where I write the post + a browser window where I do the link lookups. I use mousewheel-clicking to open links in new tabs to not lose track of where I am, and 'right-click > copy link' when I find what I'm looking for. I also often use the keyboard shortcut to close the current tab, Ctrl + W, a shortcut many people don't know about.

Maybe obvious things, but just in case they're not, these are real time savers.

Your process is almost exactly the same as mine. I think I have it on max speed with all the shortcuts and working with two monitors but it's still a lot of work.

Yup. That is what was mentioned. Dunno if it is in the works or not.

It is time consuming, I agree with you. I spend much of my day creating links.

But it does add to the articles and the knowledge conveyed. Hopefully we will see something added in the next update.
