Apart from fear, there are other emotions associated with money. It has to be! After all, Morgan Housel had said most financial decisions are made at the breakfast table while parents look across the table and wonder if the financial decisions they made will cost the future of their children or not.

So, yes, there are other emotions associated with money. It could be love. The thoughts of being able to make your lover happy, and satisfied with all the things you bring to the table.
It makes a lot of sense because I watched Jerome try to make his marriage work with Adenike by coming to Bem Okafor for financial help, only, to be drawn into plotting an heist.
The way the idea dropped on both of their laps was plotted by the Queen of the Heist, Ivey, who knew about the money and needed solid hands to pull it off. Researching Bem Okafor and knowing that with his Con Artist Skills, he would be able to do the job, she maneuvers her way into his life, planting a series of ideas in his head until he got the job done.
Neither Bem Okafor nor Jerome wanted to carry out the heist but they found themselves in a tight position. Bem had recently scammed someone of three million naira which he squandered on prostitutes and drinks, and the owner had come for his life in return for the money. Jerome was on the verge of losing his marriage and did not want to be roped into taking a boring engineering job.
Both of them, one exercising the fear of losing his life, the other loving his woman enough to look for a way out decided to go ahead with the heist. With his engineering skills and Bem's negotiating skills, they succeeded. Although they were double-crossed by the people they brought into the game with them, Bem had backup plans and he was still able to get away with the 34 million dollars and of course, the original 3 million naira he scammed out of Sheikh' Cousin. In the end, he won. His friend, Jerome won his wife back. And the rest of the crew won individually too.
Love makes everything beautiful yeah? But money makes love more beautiful. The essence of money to most people is to take care of the people they love. And they would do this with all that they have. They would take various risks to make this dream come true. For them as long as the love of their lives is happy, they are happy.
Or haven't you wondered why ruthless individuals do not joke with their girlfriends or the mother of their children? They would go to the end of the world for them. They would murder anyone who tries to harm them or even lays a finger on them. Love makes them go the extra mile to rob, swindle, and do all sorts of illegal activities just to pull enough cash to make blissful memories for these people.
When you think about money, think about all the places you could take your lover to if you could afford it. Think about all the beautiful things you could buy for them if you could afford them. Think about the smiles that will plastered around their faces when they receive these gifts and gestures. I know you are already imagining them and you are smiling too. All of these things would be possible and accessible to you when you are in money.
If not for anything else in this life, you should take money seriously because of this. You should learn how it works, and how you can have more of it to cater to all the spectacular activities you want to do with your loved ones by your side and they should encourage you to make better financial decisions. You shouldn't allow everything to the wind, understand how investment works, and why the stock market behaves the way it does. Take a step back, and look for avenues to pile those stacks of cash that will transform your life and your lovers.
As people often say, "I want to be wealthy so my family will never have to worry about money again", this should be your mantra every day as you wake up and hustle. And you should make such a dream come true. Your future self and family will be proud of you.
