Setting Some Targets

Hola Monday!

Beautiful life!

It's the new week and time to note down some numbers for the year. I have procrastinated long enough and if I allow it to go on, I will be drifting in the days, weeks, and months ahead. That would not be ideal so this goaling is my way of pushing myself to do something before Mr. P takes a permanent abode in my household😅 And since I'm putting my goals out (publicly), I'll be forced encouraged to be more accountable.

And so, here are my 2 realistic goals for the year:

2.5k HBD Savings

I have been building my Hive Power in the previous years, so I'm not making it my priority this 2025. Of course, I will still grow my stakes (participate in HPUD or stake HIVE) but will take my time and won't pressure myself.

I recently withdrew my savings wanting to keep it liquid and trade for HIVE when the price becomes more favorable and take advantage of any price actions but I changed my mind and canceled the withdrawal.

I'm not good at reading charts (technical analysis or such) but with what HIVE had shown yesterday, I'm positive it will make another move at any time. Unfortunately, I have traded my liquid on the exchange too early (at 48 and 50 cents) so I'm waiting for a chance to buy back.

With the additional savings this year, I plan to use some of it for a better camera (or phone) since I love taking photos whenever we go out. Our smartphones and digicams have aged well and no longer take good pictures. I may have a change of heart on this but will update it when a more definite or important purpose arises. If none, then I would end up with HBD earning interest and that's good!

Anyway, I'm starting with 1,077, the ending balance from last year.

Recurring Buys: $2 Worth of Sats a Day

Funny enough, I have not been adding to my tiny BTC holding (which I had since 2018 if I'm not mistaken), so I would like to stack some sats this year. I found the auto-invest feature on Binance useful in this lil adventure so I'm going for it (do note it is not advisable to put or hold crypto on centralized exchanges).

The minimum amount is very low, at 10 cents USDT for each period (daily or hourly, etc), and with ZERO fees! So I chose the 12-hourly (initially had it daily but edited it) and set the buy amount of 1 USDT. Very small but a more realistic amount for me, especially since I'm using a CEX and keeping the sats there.

There! It has been set and the first buy will be in approximately 11 hours. With that plan in place, I would be spending investing about 730 USDT in the whole year. The hubby agreed, saying we could increase it to $5 a day but will see how it goes first.

I don't know how the price of BTC will change over time so I can't calculate the amount of sats I'll end up having a year from today but I'm already excited!

So yes, these are what I'm setting my sights on, and hope to check them off by year-end or earlier.

By the way, if you haven't already done so, join us in the Saturday Savers Club and grow amongst many supportive savers. Don't worry, we don't bite😅 Joke aside, you can check this post for more details. Thank you and all the best!

Much more realistic Goals than mine, You'll surely Get there before this year ends.

Loved to see that sats part cause most of us think bitcoin is just too high as we missed the train already as an excuse to not buy but that daily accumulation will make it worth it in coming years.

Wish you best of luck and amazing year ahead.

Thank you. Being ambitious in our goals can also do wonders so I wish you the best in yours😉

Hoping to accumulate some sats through the recurring plan. Should have done it when the husband told me so😁 Well it's never too late, we never know how much 1 BTC would be worth in a decade or so.

You're all set for the year! I wish you all the best in achieving your goals ✨

Nice goals!

I'm also not focusing a lot on power up, I have 4k HP goal (I have 3.1k now), save up some HBD, then buy other tokens (I've been eyeing to LEO and BRO recently).

Good luck to our goals!

You've got plans so I wish you the best :) Way to go!

one of my fav things to do at the start of the year! I like where your heads at and direct you'll be taking. I know you'll crush it!!

Have to have something to work toward or we won't know which direction to take :) Thank you and all the best to you as well.

Welcome to the Savers Club! Nice way with the dollar-averaging strategy. I'm also doing it, but with 1.2 USDT/day (my dividend from an investment in an online casino). I wish you all the best!

Thank you lots! It's awesome that you are using your dividends to DCA sats. Kudos to you and good luck to you on your goals.

I go in parallel with hive and hbd, I had like 100 liquid hive and I converted them to hbd tough after the spike price, I think a lot will cash out with that price and it will go down again

Great move! Taking profit when prices are up and then buying back when it corrects.

It will surely be a great year, nice goals you got there.

I believe so :) Thank you. It's nice to have goals to keep us going.

Best of luck to you and I am quite confident that you can achieve your goals this year. In my case, I don't think this year I can't make any significant increase in saving online as this year is going to be an expensive year for me.

Thanks, Inti. Sorry to hear but I wonder why it is going to be expensive for you. Are you getting married? 😁
