Even better is David Lynch.
He writes and designs movie in such way that you'd search google for meaning of what happened lol.
Mullholland Drive and lost highway are two movies. A bit adult usually in scens and so but are the most bizzare with stories. And trust me you will thank me later you'd surely search david lynch movies. If you watch all his movies, youd wish he should be coming back to make movies in future haha.
Sounds a lot like he's Christopher Nolan type... also have to Google sometimes to understand what happened in his movie.
I just searched his name and found "Dune" is his movie.. that one was Good and gonna watch the ones you mentioned above.
My movie watchlist is empty nowadays. Haha.
Definitely explore david lynch. Especially "lost highway" and "mullholland drive". they do have adult narrative but dark mindset in the story would open up your head lol.

lol he’s so different from Christopher Nolan. He’s Christopher Nolan on mushrooms without a coherent plot. Still good though hahaha
