What is icoverage? And why should you care about it as a hive/Leo user?

To save you time, no, this isn't a new outpost on hive, but it is purposed for hive and the cryptocurrency entire ecosystem.

So what is icoverage then?

icoverage is a finance and crypto-centric news platform, the name "icoverage" translates to international coverage. I see a big deal of change coming with cryptocurrencies and so much believe it's going to re-shape the financial sector, but there's not going to be much of that if there isn't enough awareness created for it.

This is where icoverage steps in.

I know, a lot of crypto news platforms are built to feed on your attention without offering much in return, it's quite sad that most of the perfectly built news media offers a ton of price-centric reports, which 99.9% of the time, are not valuable content.

Considering this, I felt the need to take my writing and research a step forward. I haven't always been as devoted to value as I am now and it all feels like perfect timing.

So, this is what icoverage is not:

-A financial service provider

Nothing published on our website should be considered a financial service or advice.

-A trading platform

Definitely not this, we are nothing like a trading platform, thus, we won't bug you out with "price analysis'' unless maybe as a "future" implementation following user choice of content thirst.

-An attention-seeking media

We won't report unless it's valuable, all content published on our website will one way or the other present value, it is a goal to be found resourceful.

Now, this is what icoverage is:

-A knowledgebase for all finance and crypto lovers.

One of our focuses is to impact, I personally only got to know a lot of things doing the cause of developing our website icoverage.io, and I'm not just referring to the web development side of things but also content structures and lots more.

Following this, we are tempted to believe there are many people uninformed on many things, certainly many with little understanding of things or how they work, thus, with our platform icoverage.io, we aim to be a channel for the distribution of knowledge.

-A small part of the bigger community

I will always want to believe we're a small part of the bigger ecosystem despite whatever growth we may embrace. With this picture in my head, icoverage can be more influenced by those who actually use it, and this is where hive comes in and lots more.

What we'd love to offer the Hive Blockchain.

There aren't many sources of information out there when it comes to crypcurrency and certainly not much when it comes to hive-related content, honestly speaking, I was trying to compile some work on all the backstories of hive and just couldn't get enough out there.

There was just one post on Finbold that explained hive, the only one I could find valuable and still I believe there's more to be told, so, icoverage aims to bridge that space, hoping to provide future users with all the information they require to understand the hive blockchain and not the mining company.

Lots of what has been happening on hive needs to be spread across more platforms or networks and we want to be a part of that building process.

We will be doing this by running a couple of personal interviews. I will have to reach out to some Industry players that have been here long enough to tell a valuable story that explains the transition of the network.

We may also be putting up general questionnaire-type posts tasking the entire community to give their valuable inputs on different topics. These questions and answers will determine the information we include in our coverage. I believe this will really help spread the word on a platform optimized just for that.

On our bucket list would be introducing a new model of earning for what traffic we can generate in the cause of content creation, a way to incentivize our readers and users, our plans here cannot be disclosed just yet, but I personally do hope to be able to push forward until it's all done.

How can you help?

We are not asking for anything other than your time and follow, the idea is to slowly put the pieces together, right now we'd appreciate it if you to,

Follow our newly created Twitter account.

Like us on Facebook as we journey through value creation.

Follow us here on hive( we strongly recommend it as we'd love you to be part of our "hive coverage" plans).

That's it, that's all we ask.

We will be making use of "Leo threads" to dish out news updates, and at the end of the day, a coverage of all news and educational articles may be posted directly on our feed.

Now I know you're wondering, who exactly this is. Well, it's not anyone else than @malopie, now that's cleared up, Shall we get this going? I mean, I'm excited already.

Thank you for your time.

Just trying to work our way around numbers, the goal is to build a presence that greatly benefits the hive ecosystem.

Specifically, icoverage will be optimized in a way that it's almost difficult to miss a hive-related contents.

One of the ideas on the list is to create an environment where not only every bullshit Influencers on Twitter say gets reported but also a mix of what people here on hive say.

With proper citation, I don't mind.

I read "ico-coverage" first and thought "that's so 2017".

It almost does look like it, hard to miss:)
