Most times we often fall victim of what you've said, especially myself which I can only speak for. There were days when I had a really beautiful idea about something but I ended up discouraging myself again, saying I was too young to start doing such things or I don't have the ability to do such things.
I made this mistakes so many times that it got to a point when I just stopped talking and thinking too much about what I wanted to do and just start and today I can say I'm heading for greater heights.
Procrastination is a killer of beautiful dreams, once we give it chance small, then it's just a matter of time before we start calling ourselves worthless because we will see others doing what we wanted to do and are excellent in it.
Dream big but start small, so many people think if they start small it means they are not optimistic or something, some will even want to discourage others that are trying to start small, by criticizing them.
For me, there's more gain when you start small, you get to monitor your growth and also get to value what you will and have achieved.
