Okay this update should have been done a week ago. However, when I had the time to do the update Tribaldex and Hive-engine were down for maintenance so I wasn't able to get the information I needed.

So, now is the time that I do the April update for the coin.

The Basics

A few things have happened over the last month.

First:

A substantial amount of coin was added to the @hiveabbyftp account. There are now 5500 HBD and a couple thousand HP invested. Hopefully that give a little more ability to fund some writing in the #earnspendgive community. More on that later.

Second

@merchantsguild is now funded with HP enough to cover all the GLD token that has been issued. It is happily bringing in LEO and SPS tokens that will be sold on tribaldex in order to buy GLD from the liquidity pool

Third

@terganmarket is now funded with some HP and ready to post. Our first purchase has been made on the quest to blogging on a budget. The purchase was a really cheap android tablet. You can check out the video here. In addition any coin that the @terganmarket account makes will be used to buy and sell GLD tokens from the hive-engine again to support the coin.

Coin Activity

Okay...if you know the coin at all you know it has virtually no movement. It's been stuck at 100 GLD - 1 Hive for months. I like a nice stable coin, sure its boring, but I like my currency boring!

With the new appreciator accounts (@merchantsguild and @terganmarket) hopefully there will a slow upward trend in the GLD value. Time will tell.

Where is the coin now?

Hive-Engine

There are buy and sell orders available. 5000 GLD was made available at a 100:1 rate and a few hundred are gone now. A buy order is in place to cover anyone who wants to cashout at a rate of 98:1.

Tribaldex

Currently 100GLD can be sold for .997 Hive which is pretty close to 100:1. It will be interesting to see if the appreciator account can increase that to a better rate by the end of the month.

Coming up next month

Now that there is income coming into the main @hiveabbyftp account here's the plan going forward (all going well).

1. Income of 1% will be paid out to active #earnspendgive members on their GLD balance to be paid in Hive. Example: @monica-ene has 1500 GLD coin. 1% would be 15 GLD. 15 GLD is worth 0.15Hive so the payment would be 0.15Hive

2. Earn : 20% of earnings will be used to grow the @hiveabbyftp account to earn more income.

3. Spend : 20% of the earnings will be given to @terganmarket in order to purchase an item for review.

4. Spend : 20% of the earnings will be given to @tergan in order to purchase ingredients for food recipe's to review.

5. Give : 20% of the earnings will be given to a community member who wants to participate in a "mission". Preference will be given to the member who (a) has the highest GLD token count and (b) hasn't had a mission recently.

6. Repayment : 20% of the earnings will be transferred back to myself in LTC to replace the money taken to invest into HIVE.

Call for interest?

So, coming on May 1st I'm hoping to make a monthly mission for #earnspendgive members. The idea is to give $20HBD (roughly) to purchase a product online. As an example I was looking at a 20KG bag of rice for 20,500 Naira. I would love to have one of my Nigerian members GET enough HBD given from me to convert to Naira and purchase that item.

In return I'd ask that whoever got the HBD make a post outlining :
(a) How did the purchase go?
(b) How was the quality of the item received and
(c) Keep half for themselves and give half to one or others around who may have need of it.

If that sounds interesting I'd love to hear from you. For the first round I'd give preference to @rare-gem, @jjmusa2004, or @monica-ene if they are interested in doing it.
