RE: Update on the GLD token

Agreed. 20HBD is about 25,000 Naira which used to be a fair amount of money. Now with inflation it is much less. However, it looks like it is still enough to buy something like this:

and pay for the delivery with a little left over. I figure if I sent 20 HBD one of a few things happen:

(1) the person I send it to takes the money and run.....it happens.
(2) the person I send it to makes the order but the order doesn't arrive....Lesson learned about online ordering in Nigeria
(3) the person I send the money to makes the order, gets the product and writes a review on the process. Keeping half and giving half away. 5kg of rice can still make quite a few meals.

Regardless what happens it makes for a good article :)

Plus it kind of fits the "Give" portion of the community :D

Side note: The bag of rice IS my idea for next months mission. If you think there would be a better or more appropriate one please let me know :)

Oh yea you are right, but as at now, I mean presently, naira is #1,099 to $1 making 20HBD about #21,980. Which it might be lesser than that before next week, that's quite possible. But anyways, if a 25kg of rice isn't possible, there will be some lesser food stuffs that would make a huge difference when being given as gift.

Hehe...

I have no doubt that there are better deals to be found. But when I'm half a world away its hard for me to know...

.... unless someone happens to tell me about it

.... hmm.... I wonder where a good place to mention that would be 🤣
