Biggest step to being successful is actually wanting to be successful so many people out there lose plenty of money due to poor decisions.
However it is on each and every one of us too use the tools we have available.

Self sabotage usually is a sign of deeper issues. Many do not believe they warrant success. So while they say they want it, there is something within them that causes them to take action counter to that.
Decades of conditioning will do that to a person.

As they say, there is a reason why there is plenty of room at the top. Many do not even take advantage of what is right in front of them.
Sad to see because people end up struggling a lot more.

We can- and should point people in the right direction and we can tell people how- and why to use the tools.
But as you said, it's up to them to use them.

They have to have the motivation for success and the desire to get ahead.
Most talk about it but that it is. Action is what makes the difference, as with anything in life. There are those who talk about losing weight and those who go to the gym.

I've been talking about going to the gym, but I usually end up at McDonald's on my way there. The emotional quick-fix a tasty burger gives me is awesome. lol

Hard to pass on McDonalds. It is a vice of mine too. Fortunately I am not out too often so I dont stop by there.
When I worked, I was there way too often.
