Here comes another LEO Power Up Day... I don't think I've made a full post about it in quite a while, although I continued staking every month on LPUD as usual.
Unlike the previous two years, in 2024 I took it slowly with my LEO staking goal, which will put me in the position to reach my LEO goal on the next LPUD. I remember last year it was a tight call, and only completed this goal on the last day of the year, after pushing hard on it the whole year.
The slower goal this year allowed me to divert part of my liquid LEO rewards to other (undeclared) objectives, like adding liquidity to different liquidity pools, 3 of them so far, two diesel pools (SWAP.HIVE-LEO, LEO-LBI), and one on Maya Protocol (CACAO-LEO).
They may not be big positions, but they can proof useful. For example, for whatever reason, the LEO rewards for delegating HP to the leo.voter continued to be an issue and still is to this day. I know Khal said they made some changes to the back-end and that the missing rewards will be paid out, and that may be it, but in the meantime, I was surprised to see when I checked today the amount of LEO I had to power up that is was below the needed threshold.
The threshold is 150 LEO (or 50 LEO for the newcomers who may not have enough liquid LEO to power up) and I had 120. But MY threshold is 200, meaning that I power up 200 LEO at every LPUD. So, I was 80 LEO short... I could've checked one of the previous days, but to be honest, it never crossed my mind that I won't have enough liquid LEO. It hasn't happened to me in a year or so, when I needed more than 200 every LPUD anyway.
Now, I could've purchased the remaining 80 LEO. I've done it in the past, quite often. But I preferred a different option this time, since I had it... I withdrew some of the liquidity I had on SWAP.HIVE-LEO to get the missing 80 LEO. The perks of liquidity... 😉
And so, my perfect LPUD series isn't in any danger yet. 😀

I participated 130 plus Leo for me, but I actually did it today, maybe it doesn't count, maybe not. I haven't really focused on LPUD that much for a long time
For the badge and the event itself, it doesn't count. For the added LEO Power, it matters any time of the month.
Well, it's a way for me to set aside some LEO to power up every month. It became routine already.

Yes, it did. Although, looking at the price, maybe I should've purchased the LEO. Oh well, maybe next time.
