Boosted Double Strike!
Let’s talk about the first ingredient to this combination: The Double strike Ability. In my opinion this Ability is one of the stronger ones in Splinterlands and there are a good amount of cards that have this Ability. Why is it so cool? Well if you boost the attack of this monster it is basically a double boost since it is attacking twice in a turn. On top of that you get twice the attack in general. I think that magic monsters are very broken with this ability but Melee and Ranged attackers are really not far off here. Now imagine you can attack with a 5 attack monster twice in one turn. Wouldn’t this be pretty game breaking? Well, it kind of is and this is where the Enrage Ability comes into play. While most of these cards do not have this ability, we are able to get it with the Ruleset and this is where the fun starts!
Works Best With Armor Repair!
With the main two ingredients out of the way, we need to talk about the third one: the Repair Ability! The previous combination works best if the card that we are using does lose a bit of health. But we do not want it do die from the next attack right? So what can we do? We start to repair its armor every turn! This way it gets a buffer of more hit points without actually having to worry to lose too much health in one turn.
There are several very cool cards to use here. In this regard, we will use the Swamp Spitter as we are using Coastal Sentry as our main attacking unit in this case. With the additional Ranged attacking we can also inflict more damage to our opponents. On top of that I like to use a second Repair card, just to be sure during the whole battle. The easiest addition will be Scavo Hireling as he is available to everyone and every Splinter.
But what should we do if we do not have any armor on our units at all? Well, there is a solution to that as well. We need to use a card with the Protect ability. This Ability grants every monster on our side an additional 2 armor points which would solve the previous dilemma. Because we are using Kelya as our Summoner, we are already getting an additional armor boost.
Example Battle
With the main strategy out of the way, let’s take a look at one of these battles. First things first, this is what an overpowered monster looks like: 5 attack that get inflicted twice in one turn with a speed value of 8 is just unbeatable. Not only does she hit hard, it is also hard to hit her!
Anyways, as you can see in the link down below, this strategy pays off pretty quickly. Not only are we able to get rid of the opponent’s tank rather quickly but we are also able to delete his entire team after that fairly quick as well. Although we had the same summoner and a similar strategy, the double strike Ability is just a cheat code in these circumstances that should not be forgotten to be used!
