Coinmarketcal: a crypto event calendar

Buy the rumour

Since I’ve joined the Leofinance community my interest in cryptocurrencies has sparked again.
I’m gathering small amounts of coins and trying to grow this by buying some coins that I expect to raise in price.
A frequently heard advice is to buy the rumour and sell the news. But how do you receive the rumours?

XRP and Sparkcoin

I recently stumbled upon a site called: coinmarketcal.com
This site is like a crypto event calendar. The site lists an amazing amount of upcoming crypto events per coin.
One of the things I’ve discovered there was the Sparkcoin airdrop that is happening today.

As you can see in the screenshot above the users of this site can vote if this is a real event or a fake one.
It’s too bad I only discovered this site recently. The date this event was added is the 4th of October.
As you can see on the @coingecko chart below the price of XRP went from $0,24 in the beginning of October to $0,56 now with a peak of $0,72 on the 24th of November. That is 3 times more than the price in October!

I bought some XRP just for the free Spark coins just a few days ago, but probably the price of XRP is going to drop again soon after the Airdrop of the Spark coins. If I had read this event earlier, I could have bought the coins earlier and maybe got a nice profit from it.

Possibilities

You can also view the charts of different coins on the site. The icons on the chart are events that are registered on the site. This way you can see if a price increase in the run-up to an event or a decrease after an event.

Coinmarketcal has overviews of trending, significant and hot events and als ‘coins with potential’.

Finally Coinmarketcal gives you the possibility to subscribe to events of three of your favourite coins. This way you will get weekly updates by email of all events of these coins and technical analysis.
