Not to claim smartness by any means lol... but I've not only observed this happen before, it also makes sense because when you have a certain amount of earnings divided by a lower price of Hive (earnings / price), you could see that dividing by a lower denominator yields a larger value. This explanation is super simplified and doesn't involve an entire formula, but that's the reasoning for why APR ends up higher.
