This is a very good case for Hive to succeed in the long term. However, easing up on certain functionalities on Hive would universally increase its presence in Web 3.0 based social media and be beneficial, because it's possible for someone to adapt a simplified version of Hive under a different name. Hive itself has built so much - and continues to do so through its users - that it would be tragic for it to lose its place to a newer competitor who figures out a way to simplify it first. I do think that it will be possible for Hive to ease up over time, though, as I see discussions about ease of onboarding and use being brought up frequently.
