Are #privacycoins like $XMR a buy and hold investment, or to be used?

Does the demand from being used mean they go up in price and become good investments?

🤔.

Just some morning thoughts.

Sort:

Privacy coins hold, use just a little gifting to new users for onboarding. Privacy STABLE coins however, definitely use.
imo.

I'm sure you've told me this before, but what's your most promising private coin with a stable option?

Don't think there is one - well, there's Haven (XHV) which has what they call an offshore vault for that purpose, but i'm not sure if its promising.

My wish is to get HBD on Zano as a confidential asset (once this can be done after the upcoming Zarcanum fork).

It can be done apparently, i discussed with Dev & tried ti get attention of Hive Devs but to no avail.

Yeah, #ZANO is very promising.
With anonymous zHBD lockable in deposit, Hive could moon, imo.

I got some interesting responses on the DASH to Maya integration, basically saying it's horrible because DASH is centralized. I'd love your thoughts in regard to #privacycoins like DASH being used in cross chain swaps

Well it is centralised... like pretty much every single shitcoin out there haha.

It's definitely a risk cos what's the point of being private if a small group of people can collude to alter transactions.

Monero has at least somewhat proven to be censorship-resistant.

I go back to this potential 51% attack:

But compare it to what the net hashrate for the network looks like now, and things look good:

I'll look a bit more into Dash / Maya today.

Think it is moar to be used. May be an investment at times like any, if timed correctly.

Sitting on the fence I see haha.

To $XMR or not, that is the question? source
