#gmfrens, How steady is power supply in your area? I bought this 6.5KVA power generator almost 1 year ago as back up power source for my IT training center. Now with petrol selling so high at NGN 750 per liter, its becoming a big challenge to operate at the same cost as it was last year. I am contemplating solar installation now. This is #mydiary.

I also got a generator earlier this year. However, it's difficult to run it every time. The price of fuel is killing.

Thats for sure. If I had known that the fuel price would be this high, I would have used the 400k I used in buying the gen and go for solar installation. I would have gotten at least a battery, inverter and 1 panel.

Exactly! Solar would've been a better option. Now, installation of solar is quite expensive.

Very expensive, but that is what I am going for next year. Its cheaper in the long run. The cost of fuel alone, minus repairs in 1 year, is far more expensive, stressful and noisy.

Thats alright. I've been using my generator for up to a year now and I've never repaired it.

You are using a great oil, the generator is probably new too. And how often it is used is another consideration.

Oh! Yes! I use Mobil. I've also never serviced the generator. I also don't use it everytime.

Good morning to you, I think we have a stable power here for about a month now

buying of fuel is draining financially, still we dob"t have light, this particular government is pure evil

It is really a big issue. I really wish they will do something about it. Either to lower the cost of petrol or give us stead power.

Hmm electricity problems is really a big problem. I think you should go for the solar option if it's viable. There's a lot of sun in Africa

Thats for sure. Solar is expensive to install. But right now, I have no option. I see that fuel is far more expensive over time.

Seriously, the way the prices of fuel keep going up is a concern. I hope you do install the solar

Yes. I will plan for it and implement it like a project.

That's very nice to hear. I'm sure you will keep us updated on your progress

Sure i will.

That's great bro. Will be on the lookout for it

i guess you should try solar, it will help you a lot.

If not for the costly installation.. But I have no choice. An going for
