Many weird-looking arts have been sold for hundreds of thousands of Dollars to speculative collectors. The NFT space has become a very prominent part of blockchain technology and even the world outside it. The world is levitating towards digital signatures but the art world is gaining more ground in the space. Photographers are also becoming more active as photography NFTs are fast gaining popularity. While these use cases are amazing and very important for the adoption of blockchain technology, the potential of NFTs are not limited to photography and art vending. Many other sectors are fast embracing digital signature technology. The music and sports Industries are some of the numerous sectors looking to incorporate digital signatures into their procedure.
The American National Football League has announced plans to issue sports viewership tickets to about twenty-one games in the 2022 season as NFTs. This is one of the earliest instances of NFT application in mainstream sporting events. The NFL has also sold thousands of rare pictures and art collections as NFTs recently. It is safe to say that the American sports body is a huge fan of Non-fungible tokens.
FTX’s Sam BankmanFried is also rumored to be working towards bringing NFT tickets to American basketball. Having purchased the naming rights for Miami Heat's sporting arena, bringing NFT tickets to American basketball will be an even bigger achievement.
American rapper Tory Lanez would become the earliest mainstream musician to release songs as an NFT. Following the success of his NFT album released in the third quarter, the trend of Musicians getting into NFTs has become popular. NFT albums, singles, and auctioned pictures from popular musicians are becoming more rampant.
These two industries are sure to draw the attention of the larger mass, delving into NFTs is in fact a welcome development for the blockchain space as a whole.
