#elonmusk has said that suspensions will only happen if you break the law, but a user was suspended for posting a legal satire image that was not illegal in the least. Rumor also has it that using the fire extinguisher emoji could bring a suspension. He's taking sides in the Israel/Palestine conflict, which goes against his word. I think he's a coward!!!

Sort:

Centralization and censorship. Thats all web2 is known for. I am surprised if those two ends anytime soon.

Well, centralization isn't the issue as much as going back on his word. He could be developing a decentralized platform and that's still a problem.

Yes. Until he gets to decentralization. For now, its a one man show. Elon pulls all the laws and implement them. I think a lot can get better.

The censorship on web2 platforms are annoying, this feels like a threat to me.

Yeah, I'm going to delete my X account. It's pretty lame there anyway

This is why we speak about the difference between decentralization and centralization. There is no ownership as we just wake up one day and find out that we are banned and our contents deleted for something minor. Good thing we got threads

Decentralized is as different as many seem to think. This isn't about that for me at least. It's about honor

Honor in what sense? You lost me there.

Did you even read the thread? There's more under the image

oh my I just did, you know my account is under suspension, I can’t like, retweet and I was wondering why but I don’t think I used a fire extinguisher emoji or something and I thought X is All round seems he is taking sides now.

Go with Gab, where the founder keeps his word.

It's been years since I've been there. I didn't like the set up then, but I'm sure it's different now. That being said, I'm really not looking for much of a social media presence. InLeo is good for now at least

Hmmm, this is the problem with the centralised platform, they keep bringing out so many annoying laws. Week thank God we have. a decentralized platform where we can feel safe and not worry about losing our account.
