I think so too 🥰
Alright
it was lovely!
Still is sis 😍
What is the process for splitting an orchid?
Easier than a normal plant because orchids are clusters of bulbs?
Or don't they come apart easy?
If divided at the wrong time of the year, when there is no growth, also dead. There are many risks, as we’re growing them not in their natural environment and it’s tricky to grow them at all. 3🧵 #hivegarden
It clearly doesn’t wanna grow inside the pot, so I might locate it on a plank of wood and let it do this funky business. Or else I won’t see blooms again as new bulbs grow into the outside pot 🙈 5🧵 #hivegarden
The other half of it needs repotting and splitting now too, but I scratch my head how to do it right 😂 3🧵 #hivegarden
If cut too close to old bulbs, they might perish or take long years to bloom again. If there are too little bulbs in each section, both might perish. If the cut is not disinfected, they might get disease and die too. 2🧵 #hivegarden
Good question! It’s probably not much more complicated, but a little scary for doing it wrong with a plant worth £30, like this Dendrobium. The plant has to big enough for splitting and cut in the correct place for both parts to thrive. 1🧵
Love the colors and how they stoop like that :) She must be very happy too!
Oh she is! She was dragging me upstairs to show me 😂😂
Haha, I don't blame her :) She's so proud to have taken care of it and made it bloom.
Totally 💯 And I’m super proud of her too 😍💙
Amazing. They look fabulous right there
Thank you ☺️
Wow I love the color of its flower
Thanks sis 💙
