Hey everyone, just a quick update & post.
In my last rebalancing portfolio mission, I've been looking for LBI (Leo Backed Investments) as a long-term holding option.
Problem is, I can't buy as much as I would like to. There's not enough liquidity. In fact, I obliterated the last selling orders out there as I'm slowly accumulating LBI. The order book is a green sea currently. Can someone PLEASE give some sell orders?
Needless to say that If someone wants to sell their LBI and feels stuck, feel free to contact/tag me. I'm also accepting OTC deals/offerings.
Regarding me and my 'hibernation'...
It's been 2-3 long months since my latest posting activity here and some members asked 'If I'm fine'.
And yes, I'm doing great (yes I got hit like everyone the last months but still great overall :) )
Other people also asked If 'I'm quitting HIVE & LEO'.
far from reality, but that's true that I've been selling tons of HIVE & LEO lately. And not for bullish/bearish reasons. Just typical 'Portfolio rebalancing' & 'Risk management' measures.
I got stuck in 2018 with +50% of my net worth (not much anyway) in STEEM and unable to sell or do anything with it, and I'm not making that same mistake again. (When flexibility in power-down options?)
Guess that's a tough pill to swallow. Maybe in the next HF... Anyway, I'm fine and around here almost every day.

Tried to setup a bot to arbitrage it and give it some volume but it's not worth it....

The last steem bull market was obviously a lesson you've chosen to learn from, I think rebalancing is really good enough, hopefully you can return to actively posting.

I only have 70 LBI but I'm holding on to it and not selling it.

I don't plan on selling any LBI but I think the rebalancing would probably be needed. I think what HIVE loans is doing might help you but its currently still in its testing phase. By using your staked HP as collateral (and maybe 2nd layer tokens), you can have some HIVE available. I am not sure how easy it would fit your plans though.

I'm not really interested in hive loans. Most coins have a 3-7 unlock period at max (if at all). Dealing with 3 months here is a bit challenging since you have to plan a lot onwards.
And of course not going to keep my HIVE liquid. It's 'uselesss' in its liquid form.

Regarding your absence I just imagined you were busy making stupid amounts of cash while us pleb were begging for scraps on Hive :)) Anyway I'm glad you're ok, I'm also holding a lot of liquid Hive but I ain't selling until it reaches at least $2 if that doesn't happen I'll just stake it so I get curation rewards on it

In all honestly, lost half a million $$ in these 3 months. But I'm chilling anyway. My life is more than sorted in the short term.
But that's not what I'm thinking about;
I'll make everything back & x2-3 by the end of the year if all goes according to plan. Let's see what happens later :)

Since there's only a bunch of holders, it's hard to find that liquidity. But that's not a bad problem to have. 'forced hodling' isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The thing that annoys me the most from HIVE is the 13-week power-down. A shorter period would be only good for the price though.
Let people dump if it's all that they want.
Regarding LEO, I believe ut's much better to stay in the BNB-BLEO pool or even the ETH-WETH one. Fast access to funds is usually an underestimated feature.
(Yeah, you usually think about it when you need it the most).
LBI is like buying LEO but with the auto compound mode. There's the centralized aspect of it + the lack of liquidity, but if you're looking at it from a buy & hold perspective it's a no-brainer.
At current growing rates, floor of LBI is growing by ~0,006 LEO/day. Let the LEO compound and well be way richer before anyone knows.

I made a proposal for a more dynamic power-up system, nobody votes it or https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@urun/1-week-powerdown-proposal.
It was a combination of 1 and 13 weeks with different weights. So for example 50% 13 weeks 50% 1 week or whatever. would make everything more flexible + chain more secure because of 13 week gov vote charges.
