Greetings to you all, it has been a while I post via this platform, especially on Leofinance may be my third post so far. Although I used to interact by reading a lot of interesting articles on the platform.
Today, I will like to discuss challenges I'm facing in the cause of bringing a newbie to the platform and the future benefits they stand to gain.
It all started with a conversation on cryptocurrency with a friend recently, although he is a novice in cryptocurrency world, and I thought I needed to be simple enough with him, so I tried my possible best to explain to him how it works, especially the idea of having a decentralized financial system as against the centralized financial system, being operated by governments across the world, the system we all are used to. I illustrated this to how our government is in total controlling of the money that flow within the system, since he also used to complained about non being financially buoyant every now and then due to the non nonchalant attitude and irresponsibility of our government to care for its citizens. This oppression and an arrant nonsense from our government is uncalled for.
Yes, that illustration did not end up well with him as he was not agreed with me, to him, he was of opinion that cryptocurrency is the same as MMM Ponzi, and could not invest his little money with something that is unrealistic, to convinced him that crypto currency is quite different from Ponzi took a lengthy time, as he also justify his stand by citing goverment's refusal to accept cryptocurrency token as a tender currency. Yes I tried to convinced him more on why government refused to accept it as a legal tender but all the effort is to no avail.
I hope my next meeting with him is going to be different entirely.
Next Meeting's proposed Strategy
May be I will have to show him my poor wallet over the years and how nothing wrong has happened to my account / wallet, also since HIVE is not only about trading, he may be earning income through writing as I always do.

Yeah the whole ponzi is a common thought on crypto. But if they could just clue in that fiat is the biggest ponzi scam around.
You earn more the government inflation goes up and really you earned less. You hold in a bank they earn mad profit while you earn Penny's and after inflation earn less 😂.

You did great effort and it's thanks to those efforts that cryptos will really go mainstream.
A lot of times I too got to know people that were very sceptical about cryptocurrencies. BUT they accepted the idea that the Proof of Work (to make it simple, I used it as a starting point) is a form of democracy and a form to contain and prevent not agreed modifications. So they could understand that the max supply for BTC is 21M tokens, they could understand why they pay transaction fees and why some cryptos have already some aspects of Store of Value.
So when they think it's a Ponzi, remember that Bitcoin is not OneCoin/Coinspace/and many other doubtful projects that happened during the time. They were just centralized projects aimed to create rapid wealth for a restricted group of people. Bitcoin is decentralized aimed to bring wealth to everybody thanks to its key aspects of money democracy.
