RE: Decentralized MMO

Didn't sleep or eat or take a shit for 5 days eh?
Impressive.

On a serious note... it's easy to tell if a bot is playing if the bot is basic enough. It will just do the same exact thing for 24 hours a day. If a person is doing this they deserve to be banned anyway.

Sort:

Well it was table top gaming so bathroom breaks and such happened but one buddy in particular went days and days at a time, fueled by caffeine and street drugs. Not sure if he actually went five days but several times at least 72+ hours.

And a few years back as I was entering a card room I saw a guy being taken out on a stretcher. Found out later that he’d been playing poker for four days.

Yeah; despite what people say, it's incredibly obvious if a character is a real player or controlled by a bot. If a real person looks at a bot-controlled character, one can identify if it's a bot or not in just a few minutes with a very, very high precision.

And it doesn't even have relation to having bathroom breaks or stuff like that (as one can program a bot to emulate those), but it's that the bot always do things "perfectly". The bot doesn't missclick and opens the setting menu by mistake; the bot doesn't change the camera to a weird position; the bot doesn't stop for a few seconds randomly to check out the phone in real life or because the player yawned, etc.
