Week 28 Report: Sunday 22 August 2024
This was an exclusive SPI sale for people registered on the Savers Chart on the weekly Saturday Savers Club post.
Everything is working perfectly and the seventh SPI payment has been distributed to the subscribers - three more isssues to go. Checking subscriptions is very easy with the recurring payments: subscribers who are on target are showing 12 payments to come. (Everyone is on target)!
As reported in Week 2, there was one subscriber who set up an incorrect number of recurring payments. An additional catch-up payment was made during the first two weeks and recorded in the Week 2 report. There have been no further errors.
This is manageable in the pilot as we are working with a very small group of subscribers, but it would significantly increase the work for the operator if there were many subscription anomalies to track.
Checking payments, distributing SPI and writing the post took less than twenty minutes - that's where we need to be.

How to Pay Weekly Subscriptions
Weekly subscriptions are sent to @eds-holdings, using the recurring transfers facility in the wallet on front ends like peakd.com (you can use the wallet in other front ends and apps with a recurring payment feature).
The first subscription is due by 18:00 UTC on Friday 27 September 2024. When you transfer your first subscription, set up recurring payments for 40 transfers every 7 days (168 hours). The first one will transfer immediately.
Weekly transfers are:
- 1.5 HIVE for 10 SPI
- 7.5 HIVE for 50 SPI
The weekly transfers run for 40 weeks, with the last one due by 18:00 UTC on Friday 6 June 2025.
The weekly transfers are checked and, providing transfers have taken place, SPIs are released every fourth Sunday.
Defaulting Subscribers
Any subscribers who default may, after any paid-for SPI have been transferred, be excluded from the plan. Any remaining SPI from their allocation will be returned to the pool.
The aim of the pilot is to have a hassle-free subscription plan which can be used for other projects in the future. It is the responsibility of subscribers to ensure they can make their transfer every week.
Saturday Savers Club
The SPI subcription savings plans are an exclusive benefit for people registered on the Savers Chart on the weekly Saturday Savers Club post. It is one of the benefits of being a member of Club along with the chance to:
- have your savings posts picked for Saver of the Week and be sponsored for HSBI by other members of the Club.
- take part in challenges like HPUD and No Buy Months.
- win EDS tokens for taking part each week.

More About SPI
SPI is a growth token which is now in its sixth year of operation. The fund is operated by @silverstackeruk.
The original fund value was 13,000 USD in 2019 and was valued at 95,736 USD on Sunday 15 September 2024. The fund is hard-capped at 93,000 tokens.
The fund has over thirty investment streams with currently roughly 75% in HIVE, 10% in Hive-Engine tokens and 15% in off-Hive investments including ETH and non-crypto investments. The fund aims to grow by 20% this year. It has taken advantage of changes in the external environment including the BITCOIN:HIVE and the HIVE:HBD ratios. The fund provides an earnings and holdings report each Sunday on the @spinvest account.
SPI pays a small dividend in HIVE each week, roughly equivalent to 9.6% APY, but this is not the main purpose of the investment fund.

Hello @eddie-earner. Have you been able to create a second subscription for the same recipient? Just wanted to know how you accomplished it since the instructions in the automatic transfers state that only 1 subscription to a particular recipient is allowed.

I guess folks with dual subscriptions will have combine them for twelve weeks. I'll have a look in the next few days.
