Hey @khaleelkazi, good to hear from you! Ecency users asking from you to ask from us to change links? On Leofinance they are not changed, on Ecency.com we do this because content is available on blockchain and can be accessed so we want convenience for Ecency users. I hope it makes sense, we do give or state canonical origin so search engine can define origin of content. It is similar or just like on Ecency people can sign transactions separately and on Leofinance separate, they can surf separate but interact with same content on chain.

Hmmm if I check the canonical, it tries to rank as Ecency.com tho?

We've found some incompatibility issues which is why it was brought to my attention. Users do want to use Ecency for some stuff but they're running into issues when they try to access links posting related to our UI

We can fix those, if you know examples or point me into reporting link. I am in your discord server if you want to ping me there for quick reference! 🙏

We use hivescript, standard for all front ends to follow and give canonical links, have you changed a structure of Leofinance recently? http://github.com/ecency/hivescript

@khaleelkazi just to follow up on this, we did double check, you are including canonical_url inside json_metadata and that should already be respected as per this line of code: https://github.com/ecency/ecency-vision/blob/development/src/common/helper/entry-canonical.ts#L15
I don't know how you checked canonicals but it is pointing correct source.

Quick question, backend system you have built, for main threads it only accepts if thread is published from leofinance, is there plans to lift that restriction?

We have leothreads feed and publishing on Ecency.com with most recent update, if you guys had that limit with intention and plan to keep that as is, we can remove those options from Ecency so it won't cause some confusion. Please do let us know! Thanks!
