Congratulations @xplosive for the 7th place show! This is a social network and I think the commenting could be a little more, but, to be honest, a lot of people are going back into the office too.
So that will account for some of the lackluster show and whenever the money slows down, so do the people. I say that we push forth and prove that theory wrong. ;)
To be honest, I am not so sure about that seeing the statistics, and also taking a look at the posts.
The average number of comments per post is 2-3, and most of those comments are bot comments, and there are a lot of posts without any comments. I would not call this a social network. There are a few dozen dedicated, enthusiast people, who take a lot of time to write comments. And there are thousands of people, who publish posts.
Question:
If people have time top write a post (often around 500 words) (sometimes even multiple posts) per day, then why they cannot write meaningful comments under other people's posts?
They surely have enough time. They just do not want to write comments under other people's posts. Most people do not even want to read read other people's posts. They focus only on their own posts. There are some people, who write comments only under their own posts.
Selfishness and greed drives people, and because of that, they ruin this place. This platform is doomed by its own users, and anyone can see that, if they look around.
I can only speak for myself as I try to get around and comment and I actually do read other people's posts. Actually, I know a lot of people who only curate and don't write much. I cannot control what other people do, but, I find it enjoyable to come here and read a few and comment on a few.
The beginning of summer is notoriously slower as people begin to get out more and enjoy the weather.
Yes. I see that. Have a !PIZZA for that.
Nowadays my upvote is worthless, so I can support you only with giving you some tokens, such as Pizza.
If my upvote would be valuable, then I would probably also do that.
Since almost everyone have smartphones and mobile internet, that should not stop them from interacting with others online.
I dont get on my phone when in another's company. It seems a tad rude, but, that is a personal choice.
