RE: The Crashing of Hollywood Unions

in LeoFinancelast month

I think AI will just continue the process that has already began with COVID lockdowns. If someone is to choose between watching a film home at his convenience via streaming service, or spend hours commuting, then suffering through half an hour of commercials and trailers, only to have viewing experience ruined by few obnoxious teenagers, this is hardly choice at all.

Paradigm is shifting through technology, and just like streaming made things more convenient for the audience, AI will make things convenient for studios not having to pay cast and crew, including even writers.

The change is probably going to be as tectonic as introduction of sound was a century ago, or arrival of television in 1950s and 1960s.
