#news Sam Altman has been fired from position of OpenAI CEO. and removed from membership in Board of Directors. The Board has cited Altman's "lack of candour during communication" as the reason for such move.
The company, co-founded by Altman and famous for developing ChatGPT, is now going to be led by Mira Murati.
That's the first time in a while I have seen "lack of candour" listed as a negative quality.
Nowadays "candour" seems frowned upon.
I would be worried, if I were them, that he will be spurred to create a competitor service.
I think the Board probably wanted to have possible Bitboy Crypto/SBF/Elizabeth Holmes situation nipped in the bud. Sister's accusations didn't help Altman's cause either.
