2/ Coalition came began to fall apart when liberal party NEOS stepped out of three-party bloc, formed in order to prevent right-wing anti-immigrant Freedom Party (FPÖ), relative winner of last election, from taking power.

Although ÖVP and SPÖ can form parliamentary majority even without NEOS, it is going to be small and very unstable. Negotiations began to fall apart from parties' increasing differences on policies aimed at handling Austria's economic woes.
