Now, that denomination may look a bit weird but it actually makes sense.

You see the Leva is pegged to the euro, at... €1 = 1.95583

The European Union is weird.

Joining countries have to use the euro, right? So what is the point of minting something in a local and no longer useful currency?

But I am probably missing something. The European Union is strange.
