Just a few days 3Speak announced the SPK lightpaper. This is quite a long read for a lightpaper 😊. Interesting times ahead for 3Speak. The current app has been around for almost two years and it has been a showcase for what’s to come. The SPK network is much bigger concept from just one app.

Until it comes around let’s take a look how 3Speak is doing meanwhile. There was one incident with a dev a month ago and the web was down for a short period of time, then switched to new url and at the end the old url was reclaimed.

Here we will take a look at the activity on the platform, the overall number of posts and comments, and the number of users. The top content creators for April 2021 will be presented as well.

3Speak started its journey somewhere around May 2019. Almost two years in operation!

Activity on 3Speak

First let us see the number of posts, or to be more exact videos coming from the platform.

Here is the chart.

We can notice the drop in activity in March 2021. This was due to the incident that occurred, that we already mentioned above. Still the numbers were back to average soon after that.

On average there is around 122 video uploads per day in April 2021, or total of 3675.

Here is the number of posts summarized by month.

We can notice the drop in March here as well, and then April is at the same level as February.

The numbers are between 3500 to 4000 uploads per month.

3Speak Authors

How is 3Speak doing with the number of authors on the platform?

Here is a chart on the number of monthly authors that posted on the 3Speak platform.

The overall number of authors that uploaded a video in February is 771. Interesting its an ATH in terms of MAUs. Even with a small drop in activity the numbers of different authors has grown.

Next the number of unique authors that posted on the 3Speak platform. These are authors that posted directly through 3Speak frontend.

The number of unique 3Speak authors is showing continuous growth. Even in the last months, when the activity is constant, the numbers of new authors trying out the platform is growing.

Almost 4000 unique authors have used 3Speak to post, adding 340 new unique authors in the previous month.

Looks like the authors on the top are eighter plagiarist or similar. More legit authors down the ranks.

3Speak Votes

3Speak supports its content creators with votes from their official @threespeak account. It has around 1.5 million HP. A lot of the times @theycallmedan also joins the party and vote on 3Speak content.

Here we will be looking into the number of votes from the official @threespeak account.

Here is the chart.

The voting started in June 2019, with the number of daily votes growing up until October, when there are days with 250 votes. Afterwards the number of daily votes dropped and in February 2021 the average number of daily votes is around 20 per day.

Nice job from 3Speak supporting the content creators and distributing rewards.
