The Minnesota #wild hammered the Boston #bruins 6-2 in the first game with newly acquired Quinn Hughes in the lineup. The superstar defenseman scored his 1st goal with his new team early in the 3rd period to put the Wild up 4-0 and basically end any hope Boston had of coming back. The Wild's D-corp ranked 2nd to last in offensive production before the trade and promptly put up 5 pts (2 goals, 3 assists) with Hughes on the squad. They were also basically 3 for 3 on the powerplay through the majority of the game, with the 3rd goal coming on a delayed penalty with the goalie pulled and the extra attacker (Kaprisov) getting the goal.
