Hive definitely offers us a great many wonderful opportunities. But there's a big gap between theory and tangible application.

We struggle with adoption and attracting new users... so we have to go back to a better sense of presenting "What IS Hive, and why should you care?" to the external world.

Of course, Hive is many things. So perhaps the focus of these various "spread the word initiatives" need to put more energy into answering all the many shades of "What IS Hive?"

As for HBD, another great use case — that also transcends borders — is that of fully building out a peer-to-peer marketplace like HiveList is trying to get going. Again, a tangible REASON to hold both Hive and HBD.
