RE: CreativeCoin: The Tribe that Gave Up

in LeoFinance4 years ago

I wish someone would pull their heads out of you-know-where and support this community!

Not only do I have 35,000 CCC staked, but I even have this dedicated alt account for it. The creative community is one of the most obvious "niche segments" here, and almost as clearly defined as LeoFinance. It remains on my short list of "most promising" but growing communities takes WORK! It's like a garden, you have to constantly tend it, and make sure the "plants" are happy and so on... you can't just "start it and run" and hope everything works out...

I also had great hopes for CCC because it had some "star" names at the helm...

Hey. I run a media company called Silly Linguistics. I love online content. I publish a magazine every month all about languages. I have a Facebook page of over 500k and have about 250 paying subscribers for my magazine. I am in it for the long haul. I want to see things succeed. I used to be a programmer and now I am an online creator. I have loved this tribe since the beginning and I want to see it succeed. What do we need to do to make it a success. I have the knowledge and resources to make this thing go

Hi @stevethevagabond, a very good start is you showing up here and expressing interest! Sounds like you have some key skills and a good following.

I was thinking my next order of operations might be to simply create some posts and encourage influential stakeholders to also make posts about the idea of "Saving/Reviving Creative Coin" and include in these posts an open invitation to anyone interested to join the CCC Discord server for some exploratory dialogue about a plan of action. I suggest the Discord, because that way CCC founder Shane (@swelker101) can be part of the loop.

From where I am sitting, it's very early days... we have to first encourage people to come crawling out of the woodwork to express interest. That's my initial take, at least.

Ok. I posted a few times here but someone downvoted my comic about language because it wasn't creative enough. Apparently something that deals with words and language is not creative enough. I posted a few times and then gave up. It's fine to have content guidelines (I have them too) but I felt they were a bit draconian. And I think the person who downvoted it is not even here anymore. I will get people I know to join the discord so we can start chatting about this. It is definitely early days. I think the best way forward is opening up the floor to lots of different voices and work out what is the best way forward.

I hear you.., maybe someone who knows something will comment.

Even with Shane's explanation, I'm still hopeful... and with him suggesting he's open to someone else taking over, maybe a new crew could inject some energy into it; after all, it was one of THE original "tribes" from the very start.
