If someone knows about Web3 and doesn't know about Hive, introduce them to my book. I've got a list of more than 100 Web3 social media platforms and I have an entire section on Hive in the book.
I wish we can merge twitter comments on this thread too. A bot which drops all the comments happened under a tweet. Bridging twitter space comments and thread comments. People can turn on and off this option.

Yeah, I agree if this Andrew Quinn guy had any idea about how to research properly he'd understand that you need to look at something from every angle possible!
For me, HBD helps me hedge against inflation that is rapidly ravishing the Nigerian economy. I trust the algo stablecoin and the hive blockchain overthe bank that has been very unreliable recently.
The value of HBD is that it gives people on Hive who do not have access to the USD to get a dollar denominated asset in their wallets to protect against their currency depreciating.
Lets not also forget the 3 day withdrawal feature that makes the HBD difficult to hack. Holders so not have to worry that their coin will be stolen in a twinkle of an eye

I think binance felt like it owed it to hive after it apparently inadvertently used custodial stake to enable steem consensus to be replaced with centralized sock puppets
