25 years ago we all had one of these in our homes and now 99% of houses don't have a home phone as they are not required. Small things that are life changing yet we forget about them as we have grown accustomed to new technology. Technology stands still for no one and even though we have been working on the block chain for what seems like ages this is new for what will be billions of people in the future as they just don't know it yet. We know it as many of us were fortunate enough to get involved and crucially stay with it not like others thinking it was too hard. Maybe I should be saying Leo first and then Hive as it has a higher value currently.
Sometimes it takes things like a shitty work year to put everything into perspective. There are many less fortunate around who especially at the moment have a bleak future. Times are hard and they look set to be going to get harder and test everyone's resilience.
I was chatting to my brother this morning who hasn't worked since late last year. He is a lawyer who works short term contracts for mainly investment banks. The market is tough and I always told him to rather get a permanent job than work the more lucrative contract work. He doesn't get the furlough pay and is eating into his savings each month.
I am hoping one day my stake of Hive, Leo and Sports will at least hold some sort of value that gives me choices. Further down the line in the distant future I honestly believe this will be possible as the world will move over to digital currencies at some point. Block chain technology is hear to stay and will change many lives for the better.
The fruits of our labor that we have been earning on here over the last few years has to pay off at some point. I remember when I joined nearly 3 years ago how busy things were with thousands of people clambering to earn what they could. That has all changed now and history will repeat itself like it always does and thankfully all of us hard core bloggers of the community will benefit.
At some point you will appreciate everything you have done to grow as this is the perfect time to do just that. The quiet times that we are experiencing currently will be the easiest time to grow as I am sure many are experiencing that right now. Every post has literally double rewards with Hive and then Leo in this case.
The thing is though you don't realise how much you are growing as you are staking everything. This week I am guessing I will be staking 500 Hive and another 100 Leo which in theory is like another 200 Hive. If I throw on the Sports that will be another 100 Hive worth totaling in the region of 700 Hive which used to take me forever to earn in the past.
My family used to say I was wasting my time earning 5c a post and they had no interest in joining and signing up. Little do they know now things have changed and not everything is about the money. This to me is more of a fun hobby that could turn into something much bigger over time. The sad thing is how much time is being wasted by other people who actually need to earn a living not knowing about what we have here.
Hive and all the tribes are like the best kept secret and I can't see it being a secret forever. At some point something will happen to make this place go nuts again and if it is not Hive with a price climb then possibly it will be because of Leo as what has been achieved in such a short period of time has been nothing short of miraculous.

For me, it's not about earning 5c on a post it's about being part of something that will become valuable in the long run and that's it. As for me I appreciate everytime I spend here and hoping it'll even be worth more in the near future.

That is exactly right as already this place has changed in the last 6 months so who knows in 4 or 5 years. I honestly believe who is here now and staking will change their lives positively financially anyway. The other benefit is this is great fun and we shouldn't even think of the rewards as they will just happen.

It looks like your earnings are starting to snowball, It will be interesting to see what this looks like in a few more years. At some point, just curating could be enough to live on.

I like snowballs lol. I think it will be highly possible in two or three years time if you had to. This is part of my pension thinking for further down the line and a pretty cool thing if it becomes a reality. I think we all have a good future on here.

I am with you, it isn't necessarily about being rich as much as it is having new choices that you may have not had before crypto. That is what I am looking forward to. If I could use gains in crypto to pay off what little debt I have, that would free up my other money for savings and other investments. I think many of us feel like our hands are tied and our options are limited by what we make and what we owe. Being able to turn that status quo on its head would be awesome.

With the many choices as per new crypto blogging platforms emerging, things would get a lot better. I have personally achieved some tangible things through my STEEM/HIVE earnings over the past three years of being here. We keep moving.

i feel like I may have missed out on something good here, what's the deal with this? Mobile app or something? I checked out the link one day but it all appeared to just be about finance which i tend to not have an opinion on and didn't want to post anything unrelated.
Yes, it is all fiance related stuff. It has gotten bigger lately because the token price is just about twice that of hive. Many people are trying to leverage the rewards from hive and Leo. I have been proxying my witness vote to leo for quite some time now. They are a good example of the success that communities can have on hive.
yeah but i see that automatic tagline made in places that are not finance related. Is this an app like Partiko or whatever it was called?
I think that is probably abusing it trying to pull in as many rewards as they can from as many communities as they can. There is a frontend. Leofinance.io
The captured story on your growth on Steem/Hive and the turnaround is what many who gave-up easily have missed over time. In the near future, more value would e drawn from this chain, especially when more tribes token begin to earn relevance out of the Hive blockchain.
