One thing I like about Hive is the 3-legged stool of social, finance, and tech. If you just want to blog or comment or just read, the social media side of Hive is easy enough to get into (though there's a learning curve for sure). If you want to earn, there's that. If you're a dev, you can build on Hive or one of the side chains. Good stuff.
