After VAR review, Enner Valencia was sent off. On the rebound of Kendry Páez's shot, the Ecuadorian striker tried to kick the ball and hit Herrera, from Venezuela, in the neck. Referee Wilmar Roldán gave a yellow card on the play, but VAR recommended the review and sent the player off.
That is very bad. Very bad.
It hurt the Ecuador team, despite them having scored the first goal, Venezuela won 2-1.
I would venture to say that this match was the best so far.
