Week 23 Results | 22W-21L-4P | +0.990 Units Profit

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The good run continues with a full unit profit (or at least close to 0.99 units) in week 23 where the main feeling about the market kind of remains the same in that the edge just feels small which mostly makes me take smaller bets. Many of them are also on the corners market which does feel like having a bigger edge still which also shows in the overall results on those as all the profit this season pretty much comes from them. The bigger bets continue to struggle which has hurt me this season and it feels like I'm just behind on them where most of the ones where there are odds that feel off some way or another end up playing out the way the asian market predicted them.

The difficulty about this is that it just makes me very uncertain with the result that it's hard to really get in good volume. I'm also still down slightly on the season which naturally makes me reduce risk as I rather avoid big losses than gamble to get big gains. It remains a multi-decade goal of beating the market and I need to be aware that there are times during this timespan where I don't have a real edge.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2024-2025

I only had 1 fairly confident bet in the Europa League on Braga +0.5 @ 1.961 which I probably should have middle as the odds went up and they came 0-1 ahead. As it often goes, it never really looked like Union was going to make a comeback yet the match still ended ina 2-1 score which was really frustrating. This also dropped my confidence and because of that I lowered my stake on Cercle +0.5 which turned out in a winner.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

Things are actually looking both good and bad as I continue to be in a nice uptrend and am close to being in the green again on the season. At the same time after 1000+ bets I didn't manage to make any profit and I'm far off from the expected profit line. At the same time this is nothing out of the ordinary but it's also clear that I don't simply don't have a 4%+ Edge on the market. I probably will reduced the % on the expected pink line next season. I staked just over 5 units and I likely will continue to keep it rather cautious even though I'm tempted to just slightly start increasing my stakes already.
