Comments on the Omegapro Scandal

You'd think, "How could it be a scam if this is backed by famous footballers?" That's what some people thought with Omegapro. This cryptocurrency project lured ordinary folks into promises of high returns, and with various stars like Kaká and Ronaldinho supporting it, it seemed trustworthy.

But, as it would turn out, that was just a blind for a classic Ponzi scheme which pulled in 3 billion euros before crashing to pieces. 'People lost everything, one woman-Dolores-lost her life savings.

How easily recognizable names can help to create trust.

These players probably never intended to deceive anyone, but their endorsements had real consequences. Either they did not know that or they were paid enough not to care. In either case, I think this mess raises some interesting questions about putting so much faith in celebrities.

Remember, in a world full of "get rich quick" schemes, always question, regardless of who's in the ad.

Another example of what U write about is what happened w/ FTX. B4 any of us knew any better, it rolled out commercials featuring people like Tom Brady (NFL) & Shaquille O'Neal (NBA); we know how that turned out. Those guys aren't scammers.

I believe that... then I guess sadly they've been taken advantage of, and now now credibility is lost.
