Wow, what a week! Our EVMOS launch went so much better than we could have possibly anticipated! As we posted earlier in the week, we launched our validator node on the EVMOS blockchain which is bringing the power of the Ethereum Virtual Machine to the Cosmos ecosystem! We are happy to have bounced up into the active set extremely quick and haven't slowed up since!

In this post we are going to discuss this as well as some other things we worked on this week in validating! But first let's talk about our new eco-friendly DAO!

carbonZERO DAO

First going to make a quick mention of our carbonZERO DAO that we are creating to help get our delegators and community involved in what we do as far as our donations to different eco-friendly projects are concerned. This DAO comes with the $cZERO governance token that we are going to airdrop to our delegators that stake 50 EVMOS or more with our node!

We are moving to a 20% donation with our EVMOS node to our different eco-friendly causes. People who hold the cZERO token can vote and have a say in what we do with those funds! They can also spend a portion of their funds and submit a proposal for a verifiable charity or eco cause that they are passionate about.

What The $cZERO Token Is

Our airdrop is a way to get our delegators involved in what we are doing with the funds we earn from them graciously delegating their stake to us. We are trying to do things for a good cause and we want you involved.

What The $cZERO Token Is NOT

What the cZERO token is not, is a cash grab by having any sort of monetary value. This is why we are not listing it on any exchanges for the time being. That makes it so we cannot even dump the token. The team was issued 1% of the supply to help get things kicked off, but the other 99% is in a multisig waiting to be airdropped to our delegators!

The $cZERO Airdrop and EVMOS Launch

In this post we discussed the airdrop details in which when people delegate a minimum of 50 EVMOS, they will be airdropped at a later date, some cZERO tokens. Check out the post for all the details as we aren't getting into that here.

But the snapshot clock is not on and is due to take place on August 18! We will plan to do the airdrop shortly after as that takes some manual work to complete on our end.

We also had a bonus 'early bird' giveaway which was to help us get in the active set. This snap shot was taken shortly after we went active and we will airdrop these bonus tokens at the same time we send the main airdrop to just save on extra transactions. So those that were included in this will receive their amount based on stake amount, plus the 1000 cZERO for the bonus giveaway.

This is giving us some time to figure out some issues that we didn't foresee before hand. This is that EVMOS is a completely different encoding structure from the rest of the IBC chains due to the EVM aspect of things. With other IBC addresses, we can easily get your matching addresses using some encoding tools and changing the prefix. But with EVMOS, we cannot do that. So we are working up an EVM based solution that will have to suffice for now.

Turning Off Cerberus Node on 7/31

We are turning off our Cerberus node on July 31! So anyone delegating to us on the Cerberus chain will need to redelegate! We are going to use these resources to help us get our next node launched instead of spending money to validate what is basically a dead chain. It is the only node that is in the red, so as this is a business, we have to make the hard decisions sometimes.

Governance Voting

This week was pretty quiet as far as governance voting is concerned for the chains that we manage. The one we voted YES on is the Chihuahua Chain Prop 24 to burn some HUAHUA tokens.

Comdex Testnet Rebuild

Comdex's testnet had a halt and are having to launch a new testnet chain entirely. We are rebuilding our testnet node and getting it ready for when they get that launched again.

Sifchain Update

We are also preparing for the next Sifchain update coming on the 26th of June.

EVMOS Backup Launched

On top of getting our TMKMS secured validator node up and screaming to the moon on EVMOS, we are also got another backup node running as a just in case! This is in response to the issues with another validator getting jailed, so we are wanting to just take extra precautions!

In Conclusion

It was a heck of a week in validator land and we cannot thank the community enough for having our backs and helping us scale up our node business!

One big thing that allot of the community is against is validator specific airdrops. Well in many cases, yes, we can see where it is a cash grab and people getting useless NFTs and such. Well at least we are dropping a governance token to our eco-friendly DAO that is trying to do good for the world! So we are mind blown at the support we have gotten from those that see our vision!
