Another week and another chain added to the carbonZERO ecosystem. It's been a busy week for us here at carbonZERO. We are a week into our EVMOS delegator claim drop for our DAO governance token, and so far things are going pretty smooth. More successes than issues, so can't complain. If you have not claimed your cZERO tokens for being one of our awesome EVMOS delegators, then you can check that our here. You have until Sept 30 to claim your cZERO DAO tokens!
Launched Validator on Stride
We also launched our validator node on the new Stride blockchain! We are happy to be in the active set for this chain, but we need some help to try and get up the ladder! We have reached out to the team about a possible team delegation, so hopefully, that goes well and we can move up the ladder. It looks like people are focused more on the liquid staking portion than actually staking the STRD token, we are going to drop the DAO donations for STRD to 10% commissions, but we will keep the cZERO governance distribution alive for those that delegate the minimum amount of 50 $STRD to our node!
cZERO Live Starts This Week!
This week we are starting our cZERO Live Space which will consist of a Twitter Space with the Aqua DAO team! It will be live on Twitter Spaces as well as we will have the audio piped into our Discord server in the cZERO Live channel! The recording will be posted as a podcast using Anchor.FM to the mainstream platforms, and then on 3Speak.TV which posts it to the Hive blockchain and the Podcasting 2.0 network! We are hoping to make this a weekly thing where we talk to eco-friendly projects and validators, as well as the invitation is open for any of the projects we validate for. So come join us on Tuesdays at 12pm Pacific Standard Time for cZERO Live!
DAO Numbers
We had a total of $473.84 after exchange fees are going into donations to Ecologi for planting trees! This will get us planting over another 1400 trees! Our EVMOS numbers have been dropping as the claim drop has been going on so our donation amounts have been a bit lower than they were at the peak, but still strong. We just want our people to know that when they are delegating to us, they are doing good things for the environment!

The 10% rebate for qualified EVMOS delegators will be going out this week. After that, we will be changing up the 10% model and using it to build a community DAO fund that can be used for development that the cZERO token holders will vote on. We have made this decision internally due to the negative outlook of bonus rewards as a way to circumvent the minimum commission rate. Plus, that could eventually land us in some regulatory hot water down the line. This allows us to build a development fund that the DAO can choose how the funds are used. We want to look into developing different tools and apps for the ecosystem, and this can be a great way to fund those developments!
